Tommy Morrison was a famous boxer who was tested positive for HIV in 1996. How he got AIDS was from his promiscuous lifestyle. He allegedly got HIV back in 1989 only and retired from boxing that year in 1996.
He finally died in 2013 at the age of 44, due to cardiac arrest from multiple organ failure.

Tommy never recovered from the beating he took from Ray Mercer. The referee allowed Mercer to land way too many blows to a defenseless Morrison, who was slumped against the ropes, before he stopped the fight. A lot of those blows landed on his head. After that fight Morrison was never the same. He became reckless with his personal decisions and erratic with his behavior. That might be why he became dangerously promiscuous and started abusing his body with drugs and alcohol to the point of changing his physical appearance completely, and eventually ending his life.

He was friends with Magic Johnson and was supposedly on the same treatment regiment with him, but he stopped doing that. Maybe he would have lived some time longer or maybe even still be alive today. We’ll never know. R.I.P.
