Do you guys remember me? I was among the first to buy a CJ3A tub from you back in 2000-2001. I finished it and sold it a few years later to dive into something else. We certainly enjoyed the Jeep when we had it and I am sure the new owner enjoyed it. Ray Grosser, Kentucky

Very informative. As I own a 44 GPW I am very knowledgable of the differences, but I did learn a few things.
Where I reside in West Florida I am known as the go to guy to verify you are buying the real deal. I find CJ's being passed off as WW2 jeeps about 50 percent of what I look at. Huge difference in cost. To those local to me, I am available to assist in identification should you be in the market. I may be located thru the Crestview VFW and am the commander of the post.
Story, knew of a pawn shop passing off a 48 CJ as a 42 MB. Dressed up military and externally some changes to look more 42. When pressed to see the title, they owned up. Had several friends do the same. Shop got rid of it. Buyer beware. Have a friend that bought a fake. It has broken his heart. It was a really good modification. But he will not even drive it now.

That steering setup is crazy. They had to pull hard to the left.

May I just mention something that almost everyone I've ever met concerning these great rigs mistakenly does. That is, Willys is not pronounced Willeez. John Willys must have given up, but it's pronounced Williss. WILL-iss
