'Hey Grandude!' visits Waterstones Piccadilly

This time last week Grandude’s magic compass took Paul and illustrator Kathryn Durst on an adventure to Waterstones Piccadilly in celebration of the launch of 'Hey Grandude!'.

I never taught watching a grown up man would make me cry. but watching Paul just makes me very happy.

My 9 year old grandaughter already has two framed Beatle posters in her bedroom. When you ask her who her favorite Beatle is, of course she says Paul! The Beatles are multi-generational and their music will live on forever.

It's amazing how very long my love for this man has lasted. I can see others of his generation (and mine) who I once adored and I am no longer moved, but Paul? Even short clips on YouTube make me dizzy with delight and bring tears of what must be joy to my 70 year old eyes.

Grandude is right! I can remember being in 2nd grade, on the school bus home hearing "I Want to Hold Your Hand". For the last 3 or 4 days I have had "Let 'em In" going through my head...it is a pleasant ear worm. I like it. God Bless you, Paul McCartney. You have been enriching my life for a good 50 years.
