SCP-1382 'Save Our Souls': A Strange Mystery under the ocean!

This SCP Foundation reading video is about SCP 1382 "Save Our Souls". SCP-1382-1 is a red sea mark water buoy, identical to models produced by ████████ ██████. Registration matches existing model produced in 19██, but no abnormal behavior was reported until July 7, 2012. SCP-1382-1 has suffered structural damage indicative of a high speed impact, likely from a light civilian motor craft, but is otherwise functional and intact. The Foundation was alerted to SCP-1382 after a pattern of recent missing persons reports led them to its coordinates. In dark weather or night conditions, SCP-1382-1 flashes the international Morse code distress signal "S.O.S." at ten-second intervals.

The children clearly spotted something on or near the plane, it would appear this is the entity that caused the event. So it seems somewhere there is an uncontained SCP with the ability to fly, and memetic properties that include the ability to turn people into hyper-violent cannibals (though this doesnt appear to effect young children) and the ability to force it victims to reanimate every so often to relive the event. The fact that the buoy is connected directly to the plane makes me think it is likely an extension of the SCPs memetic properties and rather than the actual conciousness of passangers asking for help, i believe it is simply intended to lure more victims. Perhaps the SCP is trying to collect people for some purpose, this would explain the three that werent passangers and the d class. I also believe its possible the missing four (Two passangers and two staff) may have been in league with whatever entity caused this. its possible that the entity needed them to perform some sort of ritualistic action to cause what happened on the plane, or that they freed the entity at some point because they worship it and were simply there to witness the actions of their "God". Either way i think the most likely explanation for them going missing is that they were spared by the entity or force that caused this, as it obviously wanted to keep the rest of the victims together. Maybe if it collects enough victims it will trigger some sort of K class scenario, for all we know this only one location of the phenomenon, it could be building an army of the dead it plans to reanimate under its own control.

That is horrific! Those poor people! It sounds like some being got control of the passengers and staff, made them go insane, and was in the plane and in the wings. And doesn't work in children. Maybe some adults were with it. And it keeps making the poor people relive it. And sucks people in because it is hungry. Always wants more victims to make into undead.
The buoy probably isn't a buoy. It's more like a lure.

This one is especially creepy too I live in Chicago I was a tiny little baby when this plane came down when I look over the lake I know out there somewhere is SCP 1382... And yes people there is a plane out there on the bottom of lake Michigan. God... Out there in the totality of the great lakes there must be 40000 wrex... Ships captains tell me that thospe lakes are more dangerous than the North Sea. Storms come out of nowhere thanks to you great read Steve.
