Drill Pour Painting - Why not use a power tool to acrylic pour?

I saw a guy doing a drill pour painting a few weeks ago and thought it looked fun. Today my brother and I rigged up a tool to do a spin acrylic pour with a Dewalt cordless drill.

I have to say that acrylic painting with a drill is quite exciting . . . and VERY messy.

That looks so fun!!!! Would be cool if you could attach the drill to a clamp so you could change out canvases.

Try using a massager. See what the vibration does.

You don’t need to add any pouring medium when using a drill to spin. Beautiful btw

Oh that’s funny. Lol, I don’t own a hand mixer because all I need is a drill and I can make a cake any day!!

This is cool, I haven't seen anyone else do this yet. The resulting painting looks very cool also. It was cool to see you having fun making them too.

I totally get a kick from watching your videos. Do you have anything on resin?

the various renditions you showed all seems o have a kind of industrial mechanical feel to me, it lacks soul. Might be good if you were prep gessoing a bunch of them but steer clear from cars, bushes etc. Not particularly good for the grass either. But I love your sense of adventure and experiment and its good to keep in the virtual toolbox. I notice I have a resistance to the messiness of this art form, it seems I am always splattering here and there and also find my wall phone, switch plates, doorknobs, dryer, torch, refrig handle, outdoor picnic tables, etc. all have telltale smudges so I think I will pass on this one. 🤩
