A lavish feast for the eyes - in so many ways!

I LOVED
I am on my second go.
The first time I saw 6 episodes in a row. The minute Simon arrived ... I just had to see what this guy was going to bring. I wasn't disappointed. I Saved the last 2 for the next day. Having completed the 8 episodes the only thing on my mind was Simon. A tall glass of cool water. OMG!!! and without Daphne he'd be just another guy in the series.
I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters (not just saying that because they are my daughters).
What I am relating to the 2nd time is Daphne's mother Violet.
A mother who knows her daughter's heart. She liked Simon right away and was confident he and Daphne would be good together. The look she has in her eyes knowing Simon was the right one before Daphne knew it. I can relate to her and her relationship with all of her children. I have no boys but I think she let the oldest think he was in charge and she made it clear that he really wasn't.
I would welcome a Season 2. Season 1 left a few doors open.

This is 100% historically accurate just look out for the Yellow brick painted roads!
I could give 31 reasons not to be watching but I just have not got the time.
Perhaps do a second remake of the series Roots but all the characters roles are in reverse and ethnicity. That I would definitely, watch as it might help bring down racist attitudes and stereotyping.
