I love this so much! I have found the usual stack n whack for kaleidoscope quilts to be too tedious for me to attempt. Panels are smaller and easier to work with than buay fabric

I personally hate this (the desctruction of a panel). However I can see past my initial reaction and appreciate how cool the final result is. Could be really cool if you inherit fabric or get something from an estate sale and there's panels and/or coordinating fabric you don't really like.
