Resort fees are "junk fees" in my opinion and should be illegal. It's a scam and they're holding travelers hostage with this. How can this even be legal?

Motel 6 on Tropicana or Dean Martin Drive! Basic necessities for less! Besides, you’re not spending all of your Vegas time in your Hotel Room!

I've never been to Vegas but planning to go and it sounds like these room prices are as expensive / more expensive as the ones with resorts fees

It’s great to stay at a place with no resort fees, however, how are the surrounding areas by some of these places, especially at night?

Pretty sad when a hotel NOT charging you a bunch of hidden, made-up fees becomes a selling point. Like Southwest airlines NOT charging for the second checked bag. Didn't that used to be normal?

My how corporate Vegas has changed what it used to be, but gambling isn't the only draw any more and somebody has to pay for the glitz. Also, over the past twenty-five years more and more states have legal gaming and sport betting which may come back to take a bite out of Vegas. You can go to so many destinations cities have fun, see great entertainment, attend sporting events, have parks and still gamble without paying wild resort fees.

I agree resorts fees rip off I didn't gamble, use the pool, or exercise n still charge resort Fee not fair I went to Vegas for the shows

It would be wise to mention the advantages of having a player's card when booking Vegas hotels. I am not a "high stakes" gambler but my gaming records are good enough to give me a comp room at Excalibur - plus the resort fee - $40. So 3 nights runs me about $ 120 + taxes. I stay at Horeshoe for $8 night plus $45 resort fee and taxes.

You forgot to list the Hotel Apache which is a sister property to the Four it's haunted too👻

The Apache Hotel is also an option, which is across the street from Binions. Vintage rooms, and are smaller than the average hotel room, they are priced slightly lower than Four Queens with no resort fees.

Wife just back from MGM. She jokes the next time they probably add a fart fee. They charge for everything else.

But how would you know how much is a resort fee for each hotel while booking? You can't make a comparison if you don't know your variables.
