Fun fact: Robert Burns was influential enough that one Manga off the top of my head references him. It’s called “Bartender” by Araki Joh.

In Volume 5 chapter 39. English title “Good for nothing” a teacher who is disillusioned with his career path meets the main character a nosy bartender. The teacher laments on himself as worthless and the bartender gives him a drink fittingly called “Robert Burns”. The teacher feels insulted and leaves, but later on when alone tries to look into himself. He ends up reading a poem “My heart is in the highlands” by Robert burns. He equates the Highlands with his experiences as a teacher and being beloved by his students, he finds his purpose again. Ending with a Shakespeare quote “Wisely and Slow, they stumble that run fast.”

The teacher finds meaning again and carries on with his life.

I mention this because Robert burns was mentioned in the manga, that’s about it really.
