That sounded exactly like when I do it, and I blame the bunker sand. Was the sand too hard and club bounce caused club to ricochet into the ball vs dig into the sand, was the contact too far behind the ball, or not enough acceleration? I generally close the club face just enough depending on how hard the sand is to get the club to dig into the sand. So was it a joke a truly the bunkers fault 😅
