Dunrobin Castle station. Historical sketch

Dunrobin Castle is the seat of the Dukes of Sutherland in Scotland. When the railway was built the 3rd Duke (1828 to 1892) had a private station provided - and it's been open to the public since 1985. The monument opposite the station is to his father the 2nd Duke of Sutherland (1786-1861), and the monument on top of the hill overlooking Golspie is the 1st Duke of Sutherland (1758-1834) - who was also the Marquess of Stafford. He was a leading figure in the Highland Clearances and the statue has become controversial in recent years, with attempts to vandalise it or have it removed and replaced with a memorial to the displaced.
My narrative contains a little confusion between the three Dukes, which is explained if you play with the subtitles switched on.
