Patrick Brown is leaving the Ontario PC leadership race, a month after he had to resign from the top job amid allegations of sexual misconduct. More recently, he became the target of an integrity commission complaint. Brown’s exit leaves four candidates vying for the position; Caroline Mulroney, Christine Elliott, Doug Ford and Tanya Granic Allen.

The guy may or not deserve this, but the timing on this doesn't pass the smell test. Someone is behind this and I hope we find out.

Rumor has it that he's about to throw his hat back in.

He never should have put himself back in the race. With ethics allegations, libel suit with CTV and general scandalous accusations I believe he did the right thing backing out. Should have considered this decision a little harder last week! I hope he puts his support behind another candidate and help the party defeat Wynne. He lost against Wynne last time I am not sure why everyone thought he could succeed this time.

CLEAR HIS NAME!!!! Allegations are not convictions or even charges....
when you are CHARGED: (Patrick B. Was NOT)the CHARTER says:
you are : INNOCENT until proven guilty (when charged)
Anyone can make allegations without any evidence
It is sad that an innocent man (according to the criminal code/charter of rights) is portrayed by the media in such an ignorant, biased way.
Making allegations against someone without enough evidence to press charges is called SLANDER (isn’t that a crime?) even if he was charged with assaulting infants he is legally INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
The worst part of this insane injustice is that we obviously do not live in a democracy and the media and money have control.
The saddest part is Patrick Brown was in the position to cite the charter and criminal code and stop the unlawful #metoo fad...(I was assaulted - but that doesn’t change the law)
He could have stood his ground and gone on the offensive along with many other men in the public eye being disgraced, and become a man our young children could look up something desperately needed in a time men have no rights and women are above the I want to say much more out of outrage but I’ve stated the my heart goes out to anyone violated

...And now without Brown, once again the PCs have all the appeal of unrefrigerated expired milk.

Guess the deplorable bridge troll will win another premiership.

Can we conscript Joe Clark?

Doug Ford is the only person who has done what he said. We need a fiscally responsible leader who gets rid of excess and balance the book. Ontario doesn't need another 4 years of skyrocketing hydro, billions of dollars of waste, higher taxes, and policies against small business owners.
