Driving the Maloja Pass, Switzerland & Italy

Driving the Maloja Pass, from Sankt Moritz in Switzerland to Chiavenna in Italy. There are a few hairpin turns just after leaving the town of Maloja, Switzerland, after which the road leads through various small scenic towns in both Switzerland and Italy.

Thankyou for these wonderful videos.... UHD 4K video and natural ambient sound (No terrible muzak to spoil it... thankyou). I am truly amazed (and a little jealous) at the stunning scenery and the cleanliness of Switzerland... This is my favourite pass in the alps. Not so much because of the street layout but because of the scenery. When you start in the Silvaplana basin it changes from alpine to almost boreal to mediterranean environment within just a few dozen kilometres. It gets almost unreal at the end with the waterfalls and plants, especially in late spring.
It's just a pity that the old border crossing has been abandoned, that was also a quite unique and picturesque one.
