A minor miracle came early on New Year's Day for a 33-year-old Tampa woman. The Florida Highway Patrol says Amanda Antonio was driving eastbound on Interstate 4 just past the exit to U.S. 301 when another vehicle cut her off causing her to lose control of her 2008 Toyota Scion. Troopers say Antonio drove off the interstate, ending up overturned and slowly sinking in a deep, water-filled ditch. The deputies believe Antonio would not have been able to get out of the Toyota by herself as the SUV was nearly encased in mud. Dep. Sullivan went into the water with an oxygen tank just in case the air pocket disappeared. He could only pry open the driver's door eight inches due to the mud. Dep. Pollack eventually freed Antonio through the passenger's side door, which was not as encased in muck.

Amanda God is good. To think that Saturday you will be turning 21 years old and to experience this. God is always an on time God and I am thankful that you was able to walk away and we can still enjoy your life. You are a blessing to us all if your humble heart. I am still lost for words and I can't believe this has all happened. Surely an eye opener that tomorrow is never promised.. we love you.
