John 1:5 "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." Truth can be comprehended, but light itself is observed. Genesis 1:3 "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." So if God was light itself, then God said let there be "God" in Genesis 1:3. John wrote that God is "light", but when he used the word "light" in reference to God, he meant it in reference to truth since light exposes unseen things hiding or deceiving one in the darkness. If one were to say you walk in "darkness", it means you do not walk in truth (of how you speak and act before God).

At 3 minutes says we are reflection of light like the moon. Actually the moon gives off it's own light as God the Father put two lights in the heavens in Genesis. If you are born again the Father has permanently generated His light in you, you are not only a reflection. Whether you shine that true light is a whole nother story :)
