I bought that set with the wooden stand and basically replaced one thing at a time. Now I have a stand for all my good bar tools.

I feel like when someone is just starting up with a home bar a cheap bar kit might be more helpful... The person is learning things and tricks... He might drop things which might get damaged or broken... Hence a cheap one will be good before they move get a hang of things and buy a good and expensive one at a later point of time..

The second and most important thing is the cost... Setting up a home bar is expensive and can put a hole in your pocket... Considering that one has to purchase a lot of things

1. Spirits - Liquor, modifiers, bitters
2. Glassware
3. Cocktail kit - shaker, strainer, stirrer, muddler, mixing glass at the minimum
4. Ice trays if not already having
5. Ice bucket / box

And the most important thing.... The first thing any person thinks of when imagining a home bar is a fancy bar cabinet - which is going to be the most expensive of all...

Considering all this... A cheap kit might just do the trick for a few months before one upgrades a good quality kit..

Just my opinion

Hey man, love the vids.

Quick question, I’ve been a “traditional” bartender for 2-3 years now, but I’m looking to further my skill set into the realm of mixology, what’s the best and most efficient way to organise my bar to transfer from tradition bartender to becoming a cocktail bar? And for me to train.

Many thanks

You should do a list of home bar tools

Mine were middle price first. I bought them at my local wine and liquor store. But I prefer higher quality ones.

Thanks for this review...started watching your channel after I was searching for a reliable review of some cheap bar sets.

Found a decent one off Amazon for about $50 so i ordered that one and can't wait to start trying out some of these cocktails. Always been a fan of mixing my own drinks and making cocktails at home but never thought about actually just getting the tools and having some useful tools at home for it, even if they aren't at the premium/professional level.

Cheers for this and keep up the great content. Stay safe out there errbody 💯👊🏿

Dang I totally went with an amazon bar set - cost me around $20. Looks similar to what you have. I look forward to using it though and practice and start upgrading on better stuff.

thanks for this video, Vlad! It helped me to pick and buy the right gift for my cousin - who wants quality more than a big set of cheap stuff I believe!

I got a similar set. My guess is that the jigger was not accurate because... it's made for metrics system. It doesn't have an ounce because it's probably 25ml. In my opinion such set is fine for a home bar. For your own business you need something better for sure.
