The chicks are killing it on news this morning. Emily is on it as usual; man I'm so glad Emily joined Unheard and Undercurrents, she is awsome! I can't tell you how bad I want peace with Russia and Ukraine. Trump gets points for at least meeting with Putin. Huge points. I like his working with both Putin and Zelenski, it takes two to tango and we installed Zekenski, after all. Especially helpful hearing the perspective on current events in the middle east. Home run Jashinski, out of the park! Very useful data, perspectives taken into account, encouraging information.

I’m Canadian, so a lot of this conversation was way too inside baseball for me. At least Curt Mills is not one of those old Russophobic NATO war hawks like the Goodfellows on the Hoover Institute webcast, who never seem to forget that their boss is Condoleezza Rice. Just the same, some of the things he said were so weird. The goal is to get a ceasefire that will lead to an agreement that will preserve the peace for a few years. What? To give Ukraine a chance to rearm and go on the offensive? Surely, that’s just the kind of agreement the Russian negotiators want to avoid. They don’t want a Minsk III agreement.
Somehow this long discussion never mentioned that the Russian Constitution forbids the Russian government from ever conceding Russian territory to a foreign power, or even discussing it in a negotiation. Nor were the names of the oblasts mentioned: Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk. Unherd just doesn’t compare as a news source on defence and national security concerns to Daniel Davis Deep Dive. The coverage of this episode of Daniel not getting his senior post under Tulsi Gabbard was very sketchy and disappointing. The accusations that he was Anti-Semitic were mentioned in passing, without detailing just how absurd they are. Unherd should try to do better. It still doesn’t show the integrity that Daniel Davis brings to every broadcast.
