Dude, I'm with you: aquatics are not my bag either. It's why Samarkand Spirit by Begim didn't work for me: a bag of sweets from Cineworld abandoned by the side of a clean lake by a couple of hormonal teenagers is not my kind of breeze to inhale. Like you, I also felt underwhelmed by Kohinur; it's not bad, it's just a non-event and it's how I feel about certain kind of green rose and lime fragrances that I encounter far too often when sampling (things like Isla Rose by Memoize and French Leather by Memo are good examples of what I'm talking about), they all turn into these strangely synthetic, plasticky, rubbery odours of things that aren't fragrance itself but things that are chemically FRAGRANCED, if that makes sense. I also felt impressed by Fruitchoili Flash and on my skin, I kind of had the ghost of Poison by Dior following me around at work all day, it was terrific! I felt like Blanche from the Golden Girls and felt sassy, more extroverted than normal and just footloose and fancy free all day. (Note: I'm currently hunting for a chypre fragrance that will make me feel the way Jackie Collins looked in the late 1980s.) Lastly, I'm sniffing out all of Manuel Cross's stuff at the moment. The day after the 'Day of Blanche' (where I felt like I had foam shoulder pads in all my garments but didn't), I had an even more fun day: I wore Mousse Iluminee by Rogue Perfumery and felt like a walking 1980s glossy ad for Pino Sylvestre! Wahey! 😎💪🏋🐯🌶 I was channelling full-on handlebar moustache, wind machine, terry towelling leisurewear, 1970' men's huarache sandals and chest wig and I imagined three phantom Paulina Porizkova's draped all over me at all time. I thought to myself, 'wow, is this..am I currently experiencing 'big d energy'? If so...Mousse Illuminee tomorrow it is. And for the rest of the week.

I'm always amazed by our similar tastes, mostly because mine are eclectic to the point of confusion to most folks.
Trumper's Sandalwood and Oud Rouge intense are outstanding. I'm surprised there isn't more talk about them.
You might enjoy Rogue's Flora & Fauna. It's my favorite from the house.

This was really fun! I blind bought a pre-owned LE bottle of Musk Deer yesterday and thought of you. I know Zoologist isn't safe to blind buy, but it was a great price and I love am ambrette, so fingers crossed it works out for me.
