There is a new type of scam where someone will upload a game claiming to give free UGC but it actually leads to crosswoods, which is a game that makes your character say NSFW things in order to get your account flagged then deleted.

I once got banned for telling another player not to kidnap me. Context: it was a daycare roleplay game, and adults could pick up the kids when they are crying or just anytime and the player who was the kid had to wait like 45 seconds before the game would allow them to get out of the adults grasp, so some players would abuse the heck out of this and run up to a random player RolePlaying as a kid and kidnap them. They would run away from the daycare with the kid and sometimes hop in a car to drive away, and they never once asked the player if they were fine with this. My encounter with a digital kidnapper did the same stuff. They never asked for permission to pick up your character, they took me to a van, and they drove across the map and just dropped me off before driving as fast as they could in the opposite direction

These games can so easily be fixed by Roblox just making it so chat messages sent through scripts can't be moderated.

how does the chat hijacking thing work bc it literally makes no sense to me that roblox could have such an egregious security vulnerability that essentially takes full control over your user. had this happen to me in game once and i immediately left to avoid a ban

I have an idea. There’s an option with parental controls that removes the chat and makes you unable to chat. So what if it’s on and you go into one of those games could you still get banned or no?🤔

well, as long as you don't play ugc games then you should be fine, just be careful and most of the time play games that youve played before just to be safe :P
