Luwak coffee's origin story is actually kinda tragedy, it starts at the Dutch colonization era where people are forced to do coffee farm labour for free and prohibited to enjoy the coffee. To outsmart the colonizers, people starts to take the coffee beans eaten by the civet.

Finallly, there is an Indonesian for Abnormal Summit representative!

The huge flower mentioned here should've been Rafflesia Arnoldi not Amorphophallus Titanum (or corpse flower) one. Raflessia Arnoldi can grow to be 3 feet across and weigh up to 15 pounds.

And for alcohol, actually some province in Indonesia produce their own alcohol such as Tuak from North Sumatera, Arak Bali from Bali, etc. Some of Indonesians also drink alcohol but not openly like other countries. They used to drink in their home or on private parties or clubs.

Anyway, thank you for the explanation Kiki. You've got some variety skills and i hope you could be a permanent panelist on Abnormal Summit ✨

Waullahu'alam

also you can't compare rendang served on another countries with the one served in indonesia. even rendang that isn't cooked by Padang's people will taste kinda different. the original one is sooo tasty

As an Indonesian, I was wondering about which or what specific Nasi Goreng type they were using as a measure? Because since its a common national dish, it varies a lot from one another. To speak/express with a brutal honesty; Its like there's a chance that a Nasi Goreng made by a random guy at home, would maybe be of better taste from the one made by a professional chef in a modern fancy hotel/restaurant.

That question Have you showered/took a bath yet? (Sudah mandi belum?) I live in Surabaya.. and it still being asked by neighbors.. but the question only directed towards children. They asked about it in the morning and evening haha. Same with the Have you eaten yet? (Sudah makan belum?)

For adults usually they asked Where are you going? (Mau ke mana?)

To think that there's someone asking "have you showered yet?" To greet people, as Indonesian actually surprising to me... Beside my family member, no one actually greet me with have you showered yet 😂

Fun fact, Indonesia have very good beer, Bintang beer. Every time Koreans or foreigners come to Indonesia for vacation (especially in Bali), they will always order Bintang beer because it's very famous and very tasty (although i don't drink at all but i heard many stories and many other people's videos)

I really love their comments about "kopi Luwak", so many imaginations in their heads 😂😂😂
Thank you for introducing the Indonesian cuisine ❤.
The actors and actresses who have done "The Battle Trips" programmes and went to Indonesia mostly won the trip, because the food is really good and compatible prices, too.
Oh, BTW, you cannot cheat in Padang Restaurant, because those staffs know exactly how many items you eat. That is why they serve in small plates, wiyh just one or two items in it, so that the staffs can count exactly how many items you have eaten, just by looking at them at a glance. So....no cheating in a Padang Restaurant....👏👏😅

Rendang and fried rice are included in the list of the world's best foods because of the voting conducted by CNN. Because many Indonesians are voting, these two foods can be in the top position. The Civet can identify which coffee beans are of good quality. Therefore, Civet is fed coffee beans so that farmers can get the best coffee beans.
