Even with the crane sitting there you still take the time to slowly and calmly show your guys how to do a job properly.

That's a good boss right there.

Thank you for talking to your folks with respect

I was impressed when I saw you open up
Motor comp on new fan. It was still belt driven! McDonald’s went to direct drive models which are crap! You have to replace power pack about every 2-3 years. Original belt driven units the motor would last 8-10 years!

Seeing you explaining your employee how to lift stuff can make me say only one thing: You are a great boss!

Compared to the price of the fan how much did the crane cost? In my mind I see this job being $100 per fan and $500 for the crane. Video is only 7 hours old and it already has almost 6, 500 views. That is amazing congratulations.

We just watched a masterclass of whip creation! Small details I’ve noticed really shows the level of if experience. Great job sensei.

11:50 the siren being so loud just popped an idea in my head "work so good its criminal" lol. but fr you do great work and your philosophy bout this stuff is actually pretty cool, especially the big picture idea of looking at issues

Really pleased owner went ahead with all four replacements. Repairing just to extend lifespan is often a false economy.

Air balance is important. Negative pressure (more air drawn out than is replaced) leads to difficulty in opening doors, a "whoosh" when you open the door, a constant draft through the doors (and Drive Thru windows, if applicable).

At "Colonel Harland's Chicken Shack" - so glad I'm not there anymore - our negative pressure was so extreme, I often had to open doors for customers, and the moan of air in our vestibule (from the gap between the doors) was so loud you couldn't speak to someone without shouting.

I have a video where I recorded it one night, maybe I should publish it... 😉

Just throwing it out there...not that a customer would probably want to pay for it. A small NEMA 4 box and use a terminal block. You could keep both sides, line and load easy to separate and no wire nuts and it can keep the slack for the motor and hige kit shorter and out of the way. You could even incorporate the disconnect switch to it. I know this is pipe dream type of stuff but it sounds cool.

Building up these custom fans may be some extra steps in the fabrication shop, but when they're installed and need looking after, that extra fab time must pay off big. Also, I like how the outflow duct is taller on the new fans to help get more verticality in the plume.

What I wouldn’t give to be a young guy again with a fantastic mentor for a blue collar job

My own job has nothing to do with all this, yet I find these videos very satisfying. There is something that feels very good about seeing competent people doing their job well.
edit: I'm glad to see hard hats in use everywhere. You know, it's better to crack a hard hat than your skull. 👍👍
