I am just embarking on elementary linear algebra after reading books on college algebra. I am self-studying from home, while not attending university.
After watching few videos and yours on bra & ket vectors, I now understand them. I can see how bra & ket notations are used as shorthands for vector rows & columns. I wonder why the imaginary numbers i, j & k get hats.

Edit. I have just google i-hat, j-hat and k-hat. I now know they represent unit vectors along the x, y and z axes respectively. Thanks for the inspirational video.

Can we not call a vector a "vertical matrix" omg
