“Five Minutes More” written by Jule Styne & Sammy Cahn for the 1946 film, The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi, was recorded by Frank Sinatra on March 22, 1961 for his final swing album on Capitol Records, Come Swing With Me, arranged and conducted by Billy May, Interestingly an earlier 1946 version on Columbia records was a number one hot single for Sinatra. This second version was released as a single in 1962

I grew up with my Mom singing this song, but I’ve never thought to look it up until now. Didn’t even know it was Frank Sinatra, lol. Pretty good song.

A great song! Thanks so much. I've never heard that song, but I know well the era. The mid to late '50s when Sinatra recorded on Capitol Records with the Billy May orchestra were his most prolific and produced a huge number of standards. The only complete album I have from that time is Come Fly With Me, the cover of which was in your montage. But I love all that music, and as soon as I have time I'm going back to rummage around through your channel. BTW, so as not to spread bad information, I think he was backed by Nelson Riddle on Come Fly With Me. Thanks again!
