Me encanta esta pieza musical del gran "Mangoré" es sublime. Hace más de 10 años la ejecutaba en mi guitarra, volveré a hacerlo.

This is John Williams playing Barrios. Recorded it between June 20th and 28th 1994 at the Air studios in London. JW is to me the finest performer of Barrios's beautiful music and it was he who rescued it from oblivion and introduced Barrios for you all.
Check out Mazurka Appassionata and Una Limosna por el amor de dios. Totally sublime

One of the most beautiful pieces of guitar music ever written played to perfection in my opinion.

Which recording is this from? It doesn't sound like the recording I have (from which this same picture is on the cover). This sounds like a modern recording not something lifted from the original record.

Well, to be honest, I don't appreciate much the huge changes in tempo. I think it should sound more Barcarolle-like, that means like a boat gently floating on the waves. But allright ... who am I. Williams is one of the greatest!

The best and most correct interpretation I've ever heard!

His use of the sweet "chalumeaux" tone of the guitar is absolutely the right thing for this piece.

This is the proper way it should be played: close to or right over the rosette. So many dumb guitarists play it close to the bridge thus destroying the sound.
