Aqyan Bhatti received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. He is working toward a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at UT Austin, where his research is focused on understanding and modeling the underlying physics in the operation of nanoscale solid-state electronic devices.

I googled my dissertation title :D Of course, Google didn't give me an answer. But it was a strange feeling to visibly see that gap in research I was trying to fill... Good luck with your work!

very true - circumstances are rarely considered in academia - a lot of unhealthy competition, unwritten rules and unregulated behaviour - bullying or abusive behaviour -- it is sad that it often kills creativity, leads to depression and emotional/mental exhaustion and not seldom promotes those with little integrity/moral conscience - at the same time it remains one of the few spaces in society where you are funded - if lucky - to research/dedicate time to your interests -- from a fellow phd student with a rocky journey
