The way he wrote the script was quite spellbinding & eloquent. The addition of humour (dark too) with his philosophy & perspective towards not only shifting homes but changes in life, in general, was really commendable.

I can totally understand what he means cause I have changed 7 cities 9 houses and 7 schools and maybe more in future. (I am still have now become kind of emotionless person who can't get attached to people easily or maybe don't even know how to. That last day of school, that last goodbye to your best friend hurts like introverts like me or people who can't talk to anyone by themselves it is even harder.. Some people are like, wow! you have changed so many cities it is so cool, to them I would say when you will experience this yourself then you will get to know.

My father had around 8 transfers in last 12 years, but when I look back I don't feel bad anymore because everywhere I went it was an experience, besides I totally agree with you that having a close friend is very important and not having one can really feel overwhelming sometimes but still trying to make new friends and who knows what life holds for us
