Having an established network has become a critical part of our professional lives. Done right, networking can provide a range of benefits, including the exchange of knowledge, resources and ideas that can take your marketing or agency career to the next level and foster friendships along the way.

Networking comes in multiple forms: meeting people one-on-one, having a regular conference call with a mentor or peer, attending industry events or connecting via social media. Similarly, networking can take place at work, in a meeting or at a social outing. Any situation that involves interaction with other people poses an opportunity for expanding a network.

Who is George?
As Director of Business Development & Marketing at Canada's #1 mid-market tech Mergers & Acquisitions advisor, I have the opportunity to help Sampford provide world-class M&A advisory to technology clients in Toronto and facilitate Sampford's growing presence in Canada.

By day, I help entrepreneurs, and by night, I turn into one myself:

• Co-Founder & CEO at BookBack - an app for students to trade, buy and/or sell books (now available in Stores for iOS & Android)! In just the first day of launch, BookBack cracked the top 100 charts for free apps under the “Books” category.

• Founder & Host at Let’s Grab Coffee - a podcast that aims to interview successful individuals in different industries (29 episodes and counting).

• Community Builder - work with youth influencers to create & co-host events that advocate for and promote innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.

• Speaker - most recently, I was the Keynote Speaker at IEEE’s Annual Canadian Student Congress and am always looking for opportunities to speak about entrepreneurship, leadership, self-development, and branding/social media.
