In todays video I return to you with AR & VR News. I will be telling you all about the latest developments in the industry. First, we will begin with some Quest 2 news and information on how many Quest 2 headsets are being used. Then we will move into talking about the Pimax Portal, which is due to ship this month. After this, we will talk about the Valve Deckard, which has seemingly been confirmed a while ago in an interview, as well as talking about great Beat Saber sales numbers and a Windows 11 update for the Hololens 2. It's kind of feels like this could be a tipping point. Where more games start to have consistent player bases. With psvr2 having tons of room to grow, the quest 2s already decent player base, the pico 4 getting a foothold and both this steam project and the quest 3 coming. Won't be mainstream but might offer a lot more room for new games to get a chance .

I like the VR controller for portable gaming devices. Would the reverse be better? VR controllers that attach to the portable device? Nvm if the latencies aren't enough to make a difference. Imo, wireless latency is more important for VR than a portable gaming device. If a compromise has to be made, better connection for attached vs wireless, the build and design should favor wireless. Besides, a handheld that actually does something in game when you tilt it would be great. It's been far too long body motion hasn't helped me make a turn or jump.

I wanted to bring this to knowledge but for some reason I turned on my VR and the UI was a bit different. I went into settings and I swear to god it says I’m on v53

My original Oculus brand Quest 2 had tons of use in the first couple months, now it sits behind my TV collecting dust. It's just too front heavy and uncomfortable, even with different straps and counterweights. The newer slim headsets are very appealing and I hope the new Valve headset has better comfort.

With VR i think the problem is that you either play it couple of hours a week, or just forget it in the closet for a couple of months and then play for a few hours. i dont think there is a inbetween

Can you Test fullbody Tracking but using Quest pro Controllers as trackers

Using Win 10. Haven't tried Win 11 because... my current CPU (has to be the CPU) won't allow it. My rig is 5 years old.

When I build my next system, I will try Win 11.
