What is implantation?
When you have sex, or we should say when you have sex during ovulation, then the life of your egg is only for 2 days, and the egg fertilizes during these 2 days only. When egg fertilizes, and sperm and egg meet and fertilization take place, which takes place in the fallopian tube and after that embryo goes and sticks in the uterus, this is known as implantation. This complete process takes a minimum of 6 days time and a maximum of 12 days, after which you will get to know that you are pregnant.

When do symptoms of pregnancy appear?
Now the question is, it's been 6 to 12 days but you do not know whether you are pregnant or not. You don’t have to wait to know that you have missed your periods, there are symptoms with which you will get confirmation yourself only that you are pregnant, and you don't have to wait to know that you have missed periods.

What is spotting during pregnancy?
Few ladies may face a problem of little bleeding or spotting when implantation happens (men's when embryo sticks with the uterus) and also gets cramps same as what they get during periods. But this bleeding and cramps are different from what one comes across during periods. Bleeding during periods is usually for 4 to 6 days and is very heavy, but bleeding during implantation is not heavy at all, instead, it is like spotting or just drops of blood. But cramps are absolutely similar to what one faces during periods only. But you don’t miss concept these symptoms as periods, as these symptoms are of implantation and not problems faced during periods. In fact this is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy.
