Collocations are an important part of English, including in writing. The IELTS and TOEFL writing section assesses your use of collocations as part of your vocabulary score (Lexical Resource). It is therefore important to know how to combine words correctly and appropriately.

For example, what are the differences in meaning between based on, based in and based at?

In this video, we look at these collocations as well as 10 more, with explanations of meaning and sample sentences. We also include more examples of collocations for you to look up on your own.

🔹 Some of the collocations you will see in this video:
▪on behalf of ▪on the whole
▪on purpose ▪on guard
▪on track ▪on board
▪on schedule ▪on demand
▪on good terms ▪on no account
and many more.

☑ Note: the collocations we look at can and should be used in your formal writing.

1)I as well as my friends are playing.
2)I as well as my friends am playing

Is this sentence correct?
If not could you correct this sentence for me?

Which is correct?
According to the verb agreement
when these words are the connecting words that join two subjects the verb used will be according to the first subject examples; As well as, Unlike, with, along with, together with, and not, in addition to, but accompanied by, like etc.
How it's come. That's why I confused could please tell me sir how can we take this?
Could do you, please conduct usage of 'as well as '. 'as well as verb agreements', two different types of meanings, how to find?
Could you please my kind request

I've seen people say and write in behalf of someone, but I'm sure they must be wrong about the preposition chosen for this specific collocation.
