In this video, we are specifically talking about the five month waiting period for SSDI beneficiaries and what this means. As a result of this, we want to know everything about the five month waiting period for Social Security disability beneficiaries as this is very important and Social Security disability benefits, SSDI will not be paid out during this time frame. There's some very important acronyms we also need to understand when it comes to SSDI benefits, EOD and AOD, established onset date and alleged onset date of the disability, these are very important abbreviations and classifications we need to understand with Social Security disability, SSDI benefits. Here in this video, we are explaining the five month waiting period for SSDI beneficiaries and how this relates to your monthly benefit as well as how much you're going to be receiving as a lump sum payment from the Social Security administration for your SSDI benefits from when you had your established onset date of your disability in conjunction with the application date as well as any back payments or lump sum payments from the Social Security administration for your SSDI benefits. My late brother waited about six months before he was approved. Fortunately the insurance he had covered him for that period of time. But this was also in 2005, so I imagine things of changed somewhat. And he did receive a lump sum payment when his benefits started.

My brother was approved right away with his cancer. He still had to wait 5 months to get any money. That was 2 years ago and he is still behind bills, because of no income for 5 months.
