International Student’s Day

The 17th of November 2019 marked 80 years since the student protests of Prague, a determinant event in the history of the student movement. In 1939, eight students and a professor were murdered in a crackdown on students protests by the invading Nazi regime, 1200 other protestors were sent to their deaths in concentration camps.

With this year's campaign, we joined OBESSU in starting a recognition process of the 17th of November as the official International Student’s Day to showcase the important societal impact of the student movement.
