I love Jo! I recently discovered her show Super Nanny this year as I'm working as a live in Au Pair (like a nanny but younger and with less years experience) she's the modern day Mary Poppins 😍

In our house it was just part of being apart of a family and household. We didn't get pay or rewards. We just had our jobs each day and did them.    I did know one mom who came up with a system that worked quite well for her children...    They each had a list of chores to do around the house. If they didn't do their chores they lost usual privileges.    But in a glass jar the mom kept colorful craft sticks. On one side was written an extra chore the child could do and on the other side was written an extra privilege her child could earn for doing that extra chore. Such as 15 extra minutes on the computer, more tv time or they could save the sticks up to earn something big like a pizza night or rent a movie :)

I would never pay my child to do a chore. It's a responsibility that needs to be done. Kids should only be able to have fun after they take care of chores. Giving them everything for no reason creates self entitled lazy people

My mom would work 12 hours a day for weeks, she just came home and crushed. Me and my sister tried to do some of the chores but could never quite keep up. The house was a mess and it sucked. We were tired of eating sandwiches and cereal all day so we learned how to cook some simple things... so maybe you should let your kids see what its like if no one does the chores.
Our mom didn't really treat us like children though (which was very hard sometimes), if we messed up we suffered. Sometimes she wouldn't tell me what to do even if i asked her.

My parents always spank and hit me always when I get bad scores.they blame me and always compare me to others, they say that they pay so much for me to learn and I don’t get results!I mean when my mum tries to teach me she just yells like I was so dumb but if they actually were a little softer I would learn better :(

Jo Frost should have gotten her own talk show by Maury Povich as the co executive producer along with Paul Faulhaber as the executive producer. Her talk show would be nothing like Maury's or Dr. Phil.

My stepson said something to me which told me a lot about him and he didn’t realise that he’d dropped himself in it.

He said that he would never do anything his Dad asked him to do.
He will not give into demands from his Dad.

So, with that information securely locked away in my tiny brain, I can manipulate him to get things done that he wouldn’t do for his Dad by using his own stubborn psychological tricks and reversing it so things do get done that he wouldn’t normally do.

I got the fool to hoover out his car the other week so it must be working 😅

Plus, it doesn’t really help the situation that his Mum pampers him like a prize 🏆 Poodle 😮

And, if I’d wanted someone living with me, and feeding him and looking after him and with absolutely no conversation whatsoever I’d have got myself a Goldfish.

Getting my kids to do chores is one thing...now if I can get my husband to stop digging through the clean dryer laundry for socks...that's an entirely different story...😂

I (Mary) agree with Jo in this situation but ooooh no, if my child just took out what they needed from the dryer I would be arrested after I was done EXPLAINING how rude that would be:)
My mom showed us a little fear from the very beginning of life and that stuck and I have nothing but respect for her. 
We (Sandy and Mary) have a You tube channel called, "Working Mom Without A Job-for entertainment only, " and poor camera man in always in trouble.

@savageunicorn gamer no honey thats not child abuse. That's parents teaching their to mind what they say and to act like they have had some raising. Your mom should have told the school to mind there own business and if they thought they could raise u any better they could have u. I didnt abuse my kids but they knew they'd b punished when they didn't mind their parents. And if u went to school telling your teachers what your mom did unless she was abusing u, she should have gave some more of what she already gave u.
