5. SOUNDBITE (English) Mike Sisak, Associated Press:
"Allen Weisselberg is the longtime Chief Financial Officer at the Trump Organization, which is former President Donald Trump's real estate empire, his company. Allen Weisselberg has testified for the last three days at the company's criminal tax fraud trial. It was billed as the prosecution's star witness, and he gave some insight into how his tax fraud scheme essentially dodging income taxes on personal expenses that were paid for by the company that also benefited the company. He says that the company was able to save money by not paying Medicare taxes, for example, and some of the money that it would have otherwise had to pay him in order to have them be able to pay those expenses out of his own pocket. He did not declare those expenses as income minus personal income taxes and has pleaded guilty to 15 counts and is due to begin at some point a five month jail sentence. Now, his plea agreement required him to testify as a prosecution witness, but he also was helpful to the defense at times, saying that, for example, Donald Trump and members of the Trump family did not know and were not involved in his scheme to dodge taxes on those on those perks any received. He did testify on Friday that Eric and Donald Trump Jr. Did become aware of what he was doing after the fact when the company audited its financial practices in the wake of Donald Trump's election to the White House. After that, he says he was not punished by the company. He was actually given a raise, which prosecutors say suggests that at the very least, the company was condoning or looking the other way once it learned about these practices."

6. Weisselberg arrives at court
STORYLINE:
Donald Trump's longtime finance chief finished testifying Friday afternoon in a New York court.
On Thursday, Allen Weisselberg choked up on the witness stand Thursday, saying he betrayed the Trump family's trust by scheming to dodge taxes on $1.7 million in company-paid perks, including a Manhattan apartment and luxury cars.
Weisselberg, a senior adviser and ex-chief financial officer at the former president's Trump Organization, said he conspired with a subordinate to hide more than a decade's worth of extras from his taxable income, but that neither Trump nor his family were involved in the scheme.
The Trump Organization is on trial, accused of helping Weisselberg and others avoid paying income taxes on compensation in addition to their salaries. Prosecutors argue the company is liable because Weisselberg was entrusted to act on its behalf.
