If you want to learn about the individual treadmills, you can read their in-depth reviews:

A popular price point for high-quality treadmills is $1,000-$1,500, and the ProForm Pro 2000 and SOLE F80 are among the top treadmills in that range. When these two excellent treadmills are directly compared to each other, the Pro 2000 does come out on top as the better option.

When we compared important features on these treadmills, often the Pro 2000 had an advantage over the F80. On the Pro 2000, users have access to an incline range of -3% to 15%, while the F80 has an incline range of 0% to 15%. There are also 32 exercise programs built into the Pro 2000, compared to the 10 exercise programs installed on the F80.

There are some structural areas where the F80 excels over the Pro 2000. Thanks to the heavy-duty frame on the F80, users who weigh up to 375 lbs can safely use it. The weight limit on the Pro 2000 is 300 lbs. Also, while both treadmills have treadmill belt areas of 22” wide and 60” long, the F80 has a 2-ply belt while the Pro 2000 has a 1-ply belt, meaning it may wear out faster than the F80 belt.

If comfort is important to you when looking for a treadmill, the Pro 2000 comes out ahead of the F80. Both treadmills come with fans embedded in their consoles, but the F80 fan only has one speed and is quite weak. The Pro 2000 has a multi-speed fan that can keep you cool during intense workouts.

Also, the cushioning on the Pro 2000 is better for those who are sensitive to working out on hard surfaces. With ProShox cushioning, the Pro 2000 treadmill deck is springy and comfortable, while the F80 deck is somewhat stiff.

After more research I've some advice for buyers - buy the Sole! Sole has an easy to understand guarantee & warranty; less than a page each and, according to reviews stand behind them. ProForm, on the other hand, makes buyer pay return shipping and a restocking fee if the machine is returned during the first 30 days.

Have run on a Sole for the last two years, basic and reliable. Its fan is almost nonexistant, but the motor and belt will be your best friend.

Very good analysis of both products. I actually purchased from both brands. Our first treadmill was a ProForm; we replaced it with the Sole F80. I am quite pleased with the F80. While similar in many functions and features, the analysis is spot-on; the F80 is a beast...low profile, well-constructed, good motor, quiet. easy to fold and move...and Sole stands behind its products. On the down side, as noted, the fan is poor (but this wasn't a deal breaker all things considered) and I wish speeds and incline selections were better.
Overall, I am very pleased with the F80, so much so I later purchased the Sole elliptical (floor model) and a few weeks ago, the stationary bike (discounted).

Which one provides the most cushion for our joints?

Which treadmill has the best cushioning? F80 vs Proform 2000 vs Nordictrack 1750 vs Bowflex BTX116?? I have seen your reviews for all of these, and they all seem very similar. So one of my deciding factors would be the cushioning and quiet operation. My second question is, I have to use the treadmill on the first floor, so which treadmill would have a minimum impact on the ground floor residents?

I usually run 5 to 10 miles 3 or 4 times per week at speeds of 7 to 8 MPH. Do you think that a PRO 2000 will last at least 3 or more years?

Just ordered ProForm SMART Pro 2000 Treadmill .. After seeing the review I felt Sole is kind of oldish probably with old push key button, no touch screen etc, But Sole is a great brand and it has it's name. I just preferred Proform in this category.

Once the ProForm touch pad goes out..it’s done. Have had 2 ProForm units with touch of failures. Motor, belts, frame have never been a problem but one the control board goes..it’s just a pile of spare parts.

Can you use IFit with the Sole using a tablet like an IPad? Does the Bluetooth allow IFit to guide the workout when pair to the treadmill for features like Google maps?

On the ProForm website, it says the weight capacity of the ProForm 2000 is 350 lbs. Your review says the weight capacity is 300 lbs. Which is correct? I might buy this treadmill from Scheels and they say it has a 300 lb weight capacity as well.

My husband is about 310 lbs, so I want to make sure to buy a treadmill that can support his weight.

Thanks for the great review!

I know you mentioned the type of usage that is to be considered with the motor capabilities of these treadmills and I’m currently in the market for a new treadmill, what Would you recommend for a single user that runs 2-3 miles at a 6-6.4 speed variance daily?

How big of a difference is 3.5 chp vs 3.75 chp? Comparing ProForm Pro 2000 with the 5000 model?

Good video. Three things would make it a great video: 1. Get someone to operate the camera for closeups and different angles. 2. Write and use a script. 3. USE the product on screen - 20 or 30 seconds on each machine to show how to do the things you are talking about and to let us know how loud they are.
