Unbiased review of the summer showdown:


337: The entire program needs to find its grove; major improvement from last year’s appearance, but it just isn’t enough for the regulators. The dance program needs to work and build on the little things - starting with DETAILS. That’s where the regulators dance team got y’all. The details, transitions, and materials are just much more advanced than what you guys presented. Again, major Improvement from last year! Congratulations on another year in the all-star game. Next year, please provide ALL-STAR material. The goal is to look COLLEGIATE!! Take the time to find you guy’s grove and come back stronger than ever. Seek dancers who are fluid and can grasp advanced material!! This is an all-star season! Incorporate ALL-STARS!! 337 have quite a few alumnus/alumnae who are beasts!! Find them and get to work!! Also, it’s okay to have competition in front of you. Don’t show any sign of weakness or discomfort. Stand tall and showcase your material and maturity. You lose when the sportsmanship goes out the window! Nothing wrong with being competitive!! Let this be a lesson to you all. Continue to grow!!! This isn’t the end!



Regulators: As always - you guys devoured the scene. The music gets better and better each year; huge props to the directors for building such a successful program! The numbers and engagement speak for itself with each appearance! However, small things need to be tweaked from a musicality perspective. But, job well done overall! To the dancers - it’s time for you guys to move on! There’s a saying that if you are the best in the room, then you’ve accomplished nothing. It’s time for you all to grow and expand to bigger audiences. Battle teams with more advanced material than your own. The goal is to expose these young dancers to the BEST talent there is. Awesome performance, but you guys shouldn’t be satisfied until you have the greatest opponent in front of you! Fleur De Lis is waiting! EXPAND! I expect to see you guys in way more competitive spaces soon. Occupy those rooms and stand in the pant with experienced competitors!! They’re waiting for you all!! Get out there!

337 and gta struggled with showing the difference between background, chords, and melody... A lot of times I was struggling to find the melody with both of them...
Regulators sound.... decent but their sound needs to mature and I think the directors are younger so its OK. Thats what I expect out of them for right now...

Hands down the regulators ate....period‼️🔥🔥🔥moving forward...the team in the blue you guys became real pressed when the regulators came over mind you they didn't touch anyone until the young lady in the blue got out of character. This was suppose to be a healthy battle....coming from the dance world you get offended or pressed please do your homework and start back with the basics....there was lack of discipline, execution and 101 that's not a good look and a lack of professionalism. Please hit the refresh Button and reset. Overall, I commend all the young ladies for showing up and performing.

Kudos to all the kids 1st off. Great effort. Not enthralled with the SWAC screaming style though. Don’t like the trumpet squalling. Sounds like a bunch of cats. Like to hear other styles of black band music. Those girls are too young to be dressed and dancing like that.
