Restaurant Admits to Serving Popeyes Chicken as its Own

One restaurant is coming clean after being accused of serving Popeyes chicken and passing it off as its own. “The chicken they use is from Popeyes,” a customer wrote on Yelp. The restaurant found itself in hot water after the customer ordered fried chicken at The Sweet Dixie Kitchen in Long Beach, Ca., and said they saw something very strange. “Before my friends and I got seated we saw them quickly bring in two large boxes of Popeyes to the kitchen.” The restaurant’s owner has fessed up. #InsideEdition

As someone who occasionally makes fried chicken from scratch, I think she is saving a lot of time, mess, and expense from having to hire a company to take away the grease from the fryer every week. 🍗
