LOT Polish Airlines is a carrier that I don’t hear very much about - which can be both a good thing and a bad thing. It’s good because I haven’t been hearing horror stories about terrible experiences. It’s bad because I don’t hear many people talking about their experiences. Wouldn’t everyone be talking about LOT Polish Airlines if it was a really amazing product?

Anyway, I decided to give them a try myself. The routing was an 11-hour jaunt from Los Angeles (LAX) to Warsaw (WAW), and the aircraft was a 787-8 (registration number SP-LRD). I was seated in 16D, an aisle seat in the center section of the forward economy class cabin.

It was...interesting!

Polish Airlines are one of the most safest ones... so, no idea who told you to avoid them and based on what merit?

I am traveling with LOT every time I go from Europe to Korea (9+ hours). And every time I am more than satisfied.

I am wondering who and why told you to avoid LOT. I think you should check safety record and, make review. . You should have your own opinion which is NOT based on somebody's ignorance and lack of knowledge.

I had a 9 hour flight on LOT airlines from Warsaw to Beijing and I enjoyed it very much

I'm coming from a family with a strong LOT traditions (my mother is a stewardess and grandparents used to work there as well) and it feels weirdly satisfying to watch ppl in comments saying so many nice thing about their experience with Polish Airlines ^^

I flew from Frankfurt to LA through Warsaw and it was the best international flight I’ve ever taken in economy :)

LOT is a national Airline of Poland, financed by the Government, how unsafe can it be? Also You should read about Lot pilot "cpt. Wrona", and how He safely landed without deployed landing gear.

I adore LOT, it is my favourite airline, just in between cheap and quality, plus a lot of flights are in offer. So everybody please step off of PLL LOT because we all should love it

I have flown LOT 15+ times and it's always been wonderful if you are going to fly with LOT and are nervous, don't be. It's great!

I flew with LOT from JFK to WAW many years ago on an IL62. Definitely had more legroom on that flight than you had on that 787. That’s progress I guess.
