This is a great idea to get started with all the supplies you'll end up buying. I started with 2 baby guinea pigs and the cage from the store was way too small about a month later. Moved up to a large Christmas tree storage container like your idea but bigger. They loved to play chase in that thing. It was like running track.

I’ve had 10 guinea pigs before the store-bought cages in the cage you made for your guinea pigs are too small and the walls are too high so they’re going to feel depressed and closed just wanted to say you should probably replace it or just do that same exact design but bigger and you can make wooden cages very cheap and if you can’t spend $30 on a cage you can’t spend like the $45-$30 on a guinea pig

You could make it bigger by putting two bins like that side by side or end to end and zip tying the rims together. Then put the cooling racks all the way around like in the video. I’d keep it on the floor since it wouldn’t be the sturdiest cage.

I recomend a mid west cage its $50, but its a amazing size and really easy to clean, and amazing qulity etc.

no hate but this cage is way to small. even for one guinea pig. They need space to run & that is definitely not enough!

The minimum amount of space for 2 guinea pigs is a 2 by 4. 2 feet in width and 4 feet in length that looks like a 2 by 4 I don't know tho

😢 I wish I knew about this idea before I bought my cage from Amazon. Which I’m still not even happy about that cage. Because it has the stupid plastic cloth thing at the bottom and the guinea pigs chew through them, and make poo poo on the floor and stain the bottom part.
