I don't understand the appeal of singing photorealistic lions. This would've been better in the same, traditionally animated style as the original "Lion King". I'm voting with my dollar on this one — as much as I like Barry Jenkins, I'm going to pass.

i like mufasa but imo he was wrong and selfish for this. he knew taka liked sarabi, and while sarabi has a right to choose who she likes mufasa should not have given in and accepted her advances in the end, especially since mufasa is apparently suppose to have a deep bond with his brother while sarabi is essentially a random stranger they just met. out of respect for his brother he should have refused and turned down sarabi politely and not given in. i don't understand why mufasa would completely throw away his brotherly bond and disrespect taka who he spent his childhood with over some random lady they just met, and in the end mufasa's selfish choice only created conflict and problems not only for himself but others around him
