Viva La Bam | Where Are They Now? | Tragic Life Behind The Scenes

“Viva La Bama” tended to have a specific theme, mission, or challenge that would be explored throughout the length of each episode. The show wasn’t quite a cultural phenomenon, but it had a dedicated fanbase all around the world and was popular enough to last five seasons. But after the show went off the air in August of 2005, the fans of this series were left without their daily fix of stars like Ryan Dunn, not to mention Bam and his father Phil, his mother April, and his unforgettable Uncle, Don Vito. So, now that it’s been over 15-years since we last checked in with a lot of these individuals, how about we find out what they’ve been up to?

God I hope bam has a steve-o level resurrection because bam definitely needs it. Glad his parents are still going strong with the hell they’ve been through.

Dang, no Chris Rabb?
He's an awesome success story that Bam could learn from. He was an alcoholic that stepped away from jackass cause he wanted to get sober and he has.

Poor Bam. I remember him as a fun loving, wild boy on MTV. It's such a shame that he's struggling to get out of the dark hole that he's in. I really hope he's able to get better one of these days.

Thing is, though it for sure made things worse, Bam had addiction issues long before Dunn’s death. Dunn was even present at Bam’s first intervention.
Sad all around…

Dicamillo's Chinese Freestyle rap still cracks me up to this day. Most naturally funny member of the CKY crew by far.

Oh man I feel old watching this . I was in high school when I started watching them in the early /mid 00s. I saw jackass premiered in theaters three times its opening weekend lmao . I miss Dunn so much :/ he’s from like 20 min away from me and this place still misses him dearly .

I understand what Bam is going through. In the Army, I had a good friend who passed away. We went to Iraq together. There were 20 people per tent, and my friend Lane was my bunk mate. In Iraq, we developed a special bond because we both experienced and seen some tough stuff.
We came back to Hawaii, and a few months later he was a passenger in a car that crashed into a tree.
I got out the Army, and I went about my life. Every time I drive to work my eyes get watery. I think about him in every aspect of my life. I can’t seem to let him go. Sometimes I got to the back yard and shed a couple tears. I had a drinking problem before I got out the Army, but i do not right now. I have work and other responsibilities. However, I think about my friend every single day. It hurts. I know what Bam is going through. Shit sucks.

As someone who has dealt with addiction I do feel terrible for him. Yes some of his actions don't need excuses but addiction is one of the worst diseases and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It never goes away even when you do finally get sober. Hope he gets where he needs to be.

If Vito was in Jackass 2 then the film would of been absolutely incredible!

Everyone says Bam fell off bad after Dunn died. Though I'm sure the loss was impactful, Bam is nothing short of a classic case of someone who never grew up. I think he would have gone down this path even if Dunn were still alive, although, Dunn may have been able to keep Bam at a 'surface level' rather going down as bad as he has.

I think you meant 2006** when you mentioned Don Vito's arrest.

Unfortunately that was his whole gimmick doing wild outlandish stuff in order to make money and eventually it all caught up to him
He was never the same after losing Ryan!
