This one was painful to watch for both offenses, relieved Pirates were able to come out on top of this stress headache of a game

Taking out pitchers with no hitters… I know what analytics says, but it just feels wrong and lessens my love for the game a little bit every time it happens. Luckily I began with a very healthy love.

Ok, here's what gets me about Wilson Contreras
When Yadi retired the team said let's get a Catcher that can hit a bit. they sign him to an 18 million a year contract
He's about the 4th highest paid player on the team. In his career as a hitter he's never reached 25 home runs or 80 RBIs But, he's got good hitting numbers for a Catcher. Except that now he is no longer a catcher he's a 1st baseman or DH
18 HR's a year and around 75 RBI's aren't great numbers for a DH or Catcher in this league

John Mozeliak signed Miles Mikolas, Steven Matz, Matt Carpenter, Dexter Fowler, Mike Leake, Brett Cecil, Willson Contreras etc all to terrible contracts. Not to mention made the brutal decision to fire Mike Shildt and hire Oliver Marmol. STL now has lost 50% of their attendance. And yet the braindead owner refuses to fire him. Sad state of affairs in STL.

I know I am a Cubs fan, I watched the highlights of this game and the Cardinal runner should have been awarded home plate because 3 guys were blocking the basepath

Cardinals got robbed... clear interference at 7:06, runner should be safe. Also why tf are we pulling our pitcher who is pitching a no hitter???
