Blender 2.93 LTS Is Out!

Blender 2.93, that last of the Blender 2.x versions was just released. New features such as geometry nodes, improved sculpting, Grease pencil improvements and much more arrive in Blender.

using blender so much has made me wish there were nodes for every workflow. The layer stack in photoshop feels so confined and claustrophobic now in comparison to the freedom of the plug and play openness of nodes. I welcome our node overlords 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I've been trying to model something by hand for an age now, because it's very complex but the end result looks simple. I even gave up because it was taking an awful lot to make, and now I've just seen the very thing I needed in this video, specifically on the reindeer, or whatever that antlered deer-like creature is. Thanks for doing this! I'm always scared to move to the next version after 2.8 and it's systematic attempted murder of my computer. Was building a cute little diorama for my friend who's a chef, of her bakery and my poor PC was at a slow molasses crawl, each time I even went into edit mode.

as slow as the line art may be, it's way faster than freestyle line rendering. Heck, sometimes freestyle rendering would "render" for an hour and kill the machine. Ive been using the line art modifier since it came out in alpha or beta and it's been a life saver over freestyle

You could always made hexogon grids, ther is a honeycomb object in the extra meshes or something included addon

Follow up question: If not, how do they expect anyone to stick with 2.93 when 3.0 comes out?
