Completing the final edits to the Season 3 finale was a really special time—especially since we didn't believe it could be pulled off just a couple of years ago. In this video, you get to see inside the editing room during that last week.
For an even deeper dive into this episode, be sure to check out the Walking on Water documentary in The Chosen app.

This was the best scene to date and the most emotional 😭 line: “don’t let me go”
Seeing it in theaters powerful.
I am happy you kept this scene in the show. I’m excited to see the next season.

Thank you, Dallas, for doing the scene you said wouldn't be done. HAPPY EASTER 🐣 HE HAS RISEN!

While walking on water was visually captivating, it didn’t take away from the emotional segment. The men humming to Psalm 77(?) made the sequence all the more beautiful. For someone who initially said no, that scene is so well written and so well done! Kudos to the special effects team, musicians, the writers, and the phenomenal cast that helps Dallas tell the story. May God the Almighty bless you for all your efforts! ✡️✝️♥️

Dallas - not once while watching that scene, did I wonder, "How'd they do that?" I'm not sure I even breathed! You and your team did a fantastic job! I'm SO looking forward to Season 4!

Happy Easter! Praise God, for He is risen! ❤❤❤

Now it's turn for the transfiguration scene! Come on Dallas, create a nice story arc for James, John and Simon to get to the transfiguration in a jaw-dropping way :)

When the director is moved to tears from watching what he’s written and orchestrated, that’s a great show!

I have to say, you guys perfectly captured the emotional center of that scene. I was not only NOT pulled out of it but quite the contrary. The build up between Simon and Jesus pulled me into the scene so deeply. I wasn't thinking "How was this shot?" I was thinking "Wow! This is where Jesus shows Simon what he has been missing!"

Simon's repeating, "Don't let me go, " is so moving. It puts an emotional cap on the entire crisis of faith and build-up. He's almost talked himself out of being a disciple, when he says, "I think I was a mistake!" He goes from petulant child, spiritually speaking, to bereft adult, thinking because of his proximity to Jesus he ought to have received greater, not lesser, blessings than the crowds of strangers. And it was such a trial for him because he lost a child, and could have lost his wife, which terrified him after the fact. He's living in a place of plenty next to Messiah, yet it's his family who are starving to death. So he goes into the voyage home with all these things roiling around in his soul, greater in some ways than the storm around him. Then the encounter with Jesus walking on the water, Simon's asking to also walk, his distraction from the storm and taking his eyes off Jesus, Jesus saving him, and his repeated, "Don't let me go!" It's as satisfying emotionally as Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting repeating over and over, "It's not your fault, " with Will's breakthrough as the result, only here it's Simon's repetition after his own breakthrough. He now knows Who he's following, what He controls, how He has His hand on all of them, how only He can save them, when the storms of life threatens to swamp us. Now Simon at last 'gets it'. Such a great scene!

Happy Resurrection Day. I watched episode 8 at home, I live in Italy so no theater releases yet. After watching this episode, I am able to comprehend how all the apostles were able to suffer and be martyred for their faith. Also the music was truly divinely inspired. The scene, from all aspects, was perfect. Thank you so much Dallas and your wonderful, faithful and obedient team. PS I am also looking forward to watching Season 2 dubbed in the Italian language. My Italian friends love The Chosen but they really need to experience it in their own language. God bless you all from Venice, Italy 🇮🇹

I know he said he would not do the transfiguration, but, it’s the pivotal point right before the showdown in Jerusalem!!!
Please, I think you can make it wonderful and the Holy Spirit will lead you. ❤

Often, when we say no, never, God is saying yes, let's do this! I'm so glad you decided to do the walking on the water story. It was so very touching, and it literally gripped my heart! ❤
