Understanding & Improving Outcomes for Cancer Patients and Survivors in Rural Areas

Dr Kate Fennell discusses some of the most prevalent reasons rural cancer sufferers experience poorer outcomes. Kate then goes on to showcase strategies used to combat and change these outcomes. Professor Ian Olver AM discusses research into the financial toxicity associated with cancer and its treatment, the challenges of looking after relatives at a distance and barriers to communication about cancer and its treatment within the Aboriginal community.
