In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we follow the story of some wonderkids who have Perfect Potential and can play in every position. They have a position in mind based on their attributes, so will the AI harness their potential with their position in mind, or retrain them and improve them in other areas? Time will tell.

For more Football Manager 2024 content, let me know in the comments some stuff you'd like to see.

Another idea 5 strikers, each one with 2 different traits and how they would do. Traits are underreaserched subject imo.

I did a similar experiment like this way back when I was still playing FM. Made a perfect DM, but instead of "natural" in every position I tiered it based on how is stats fit the position. So he was natural as DM, accomplished as MC, and so on. He started playing mostly as LW for club and country as there was a lack of good LW's, then in his 30's he switched to DM and later CB. If I remember correctly he ended up as natural in most positions by the time he retired a month before his 40th birthday.

I remember when perfect players with all positions assigned played by AI as right or left back, same as here mostly

I don't normally go for the English ones, but just can't say no to Richard Squirrell. Yes, I'm back to picking my favorite before any games are played. And hoping for a Ralph watch.

Do a simulation with maxed out players with high loyalty in a league two club but they should have little CA/PA vs another league two side with large reputation and so much money

"Jack of all trades, master of none." "Still, better than master of one." The actual full quote.

... Didnt know retraining a position takes up zero CA. Still, I wonder if then it is good to keep a player as Accomplished when, e.g. I have high positioning/tackling MCs retrained into CBs/FBs, since it would eat up even more CA if they become Naturals? 🤔

Also, the players' stats are ... not so green? At least not as green as I hoped and expected. The yoga-like positional flexibility must have meant that the CA weightage has gone haywire. Also, realized late that FM is quite the specialist game. Had stopped retraining SCs and CBs totally, or any positions unless their attributes are really good for a particular position (like the example above). I even favour-ed one-footed-only players nowadays, because their stats would explode. Have NEVER successfully groomed a Either-footer within my team, deep sigh.

... actually didnt get to see these players' GK ratings. Normally its a "3" for all players in my team. These masters-of-all-trades should also be able to make outstanding saves, no? 😅

Finally ... man, think I sub-ed when this channel is about 2-3000 i think. Gonna hit 10k soon. It's been 9 months? Wow. I need to go dig your Blackburn saves one fine day. Shearer/Lineker dissing Southgate and the players didnt sit well with me though, even as everyone acknowledged Southgate was out-of-his-depth the entire tournament. I mean, he used to play in that same team. His criticism is quite the destructive one, which didnt help. And, I don't even support the Lions.

Training player in new position takes some ability point right ? Points that could be used in stats. I think traits also take some points ? Can You please tell us how much of ability one new position/trait takes from players pool ? I think its interesting and pretty sure noone made video about this and that is in Your ballpark. Thanks
