The STREAMLINE Act, if adopted into law, would usurp local authority over the deployment of small cell broadband technology, and would create an unfunded mandate by instituting harsh timelines for the consideration and approval of requests by private corporations to deploy small cell technology.

Angelina Panettieri, Principal Associate for Technology and Communications at the National League of Cities (NLC), will provide an overview of the Act; what its impact will be on cities, counties, and regions; why NLC opposes this bill; and an update on issues involving the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Please join:
• Maci Morin, Program Coordinator, NARC; and
• Angelina Panettieri, Principal Associate for Technology and Communications, National League of Cities

as they provide you with NARC’s and NLC’s perspectives on this legislation and FCC policy related to broadband and other issues.
