Why I Will NOT Go To E3 2020!

Many of you have been asking my plans for E3 2020 since we are 100 days away...but they will be very different this year. Lets talk about that!

In this rant video Dreamcastguy answers questions about why he is not going to E3 in 2020. With Sony saying the PlayStation 5 wont be there and no PS4 games, Microsoft showing up but far away and their possible reveals of gameplay for Halo Infinite on the Xbox Series X, and Nintendo doing their usual awesome Nintendo Switch Nintendo Direct at E3 2020, it just seems like a lot of time in line and not much REAL gaming. Plus Geoff Keighley isnt going and he seems to be hinting that this show will be quiet overall. instead Dreamcastguy will be streaming all the E3 2020 press conferences with SpawnWaveMedia.

Go to PAX. I'm going for two days at the end of this month. My third year in a row. It's like a smaller scale E3, but just as awesome with booths, indies, panels and just nerd culture galore.

I’m gonna be the minority here and yes e3 screws up a lot but I’m not gonna lie I will miss events like those because everything now is too digital, I remember reading the magazines in the late 90s when this event was coming it was a big deal.

Yea, I remember then E3 was huge. I used to be really hyped of them. Nowadays, after each E3, I just google that happened in it, what new games are coming out and stuff and it only takes 10 minutes.

GREAT IDEA! last E3 was stale and I was struggling to find sources to find recaps. I ended up jumping through different streams, it’ll be nice to have a solid source to get my info.

You're reasons for not going to E3 makes perfect sense all things considered. Hopefully there will be another E3 for you to attend. I think doing the reactions from home makes a lot of financial sense and may be more effective than going to E3. However, should you find you're way out here someday, I'll be sure to buy you a drink! Looking forward to whatever you decide to do though!

I feel like personally even if I had the money for e3 I'd rather just sit at home in some pjs and watch the cool stuff on screen. Or with friends. Also I'd love to see you and spawn react to e3 that be fun

I agree with you! E3 used to be lit. It was that place to be. Now it’s like yeah I’d go but if I don’t no big deal. Stick with your idea I think it’s the best way to enjoy E3 now a days. Great job with your content and channel.

You are not a small YouTuber Max. Your videos are great from reviews (even if I disagree on the note you put) to the opinions. For god sake I discover Spawn Wave y the big podcast you guys do on Saturdays (which are one of my favorite podcast to see and watch.
