Mini pancakes filled with Nutella! These are called Ebelskivers and are originally from Denmark. Perfect for brunch and totally versatile - add whatever filling that you like from chocolate or jam to cheese!

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp sugar
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 eggs, yolks and whites separated
1 cup milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and room temperature
cooking spray
nutella

The reason why they are called æbleskiver is that when they were first made a thin slice of apple (æbleskive) was added. Also to get a rounder/fuller æbleskive you can do a quarter turn and add a bit more dough not a half turn as shown in the video.

They're called munker (monks) in norwegian. And there are munk-irons, just as waffle irons. This makes the making so much easier, because you won't have to flip them.

I made these in muffin tray.they came out nice.i put the muffin tray on some old pan, and then followed the recipe.

When you make them does the center not come out uncooked? I tried them for the first time and they keep coming out uncooked in the center. Please help!!!

Hmm. How about trying your hand at making octopus balls, Takoyaki?? that's what they're called right?? I think the name is similar to the dish pastry filled with red bean paste
