Configuring AIMS SMS Overview

The Avatier Identity Management Suite, or AIMS can secure certain functions by requiring you to enter SMS codes. By default, the phone number used to send an SMS message is stored in the mobile attribute in Active Directory. To store an enrolled user's mobile number to an alternate field, select an attribute from the drop down list. When an Active Directory schema is modified and a custom field exists, you can use this field. Enter the SMS Timeout value to set the number of minutes an SMS code remains active once it is sent. For more information on creating an account, visit Tropo dot com or Twillo dot com. To use Carrier Email, select the Carrier Email option and check the boxes for Country and Carrier Name. Carrier information is presented to a user during Password Station enrollment. In the Email menu, select Email Override to prevent enrolled users from receiving SMS codes during system configuration. When Carrier Override is selected, ALL SMS codes are sent to the Override Email Address. Select Save to submit your changes and complete the setup.
